ASTM A210 CALDERA TUBE
The ASTM A210 boiler tube is medium carbon seamless steel tubes. The ASTM A210 specification covers a minimum wall thickness, seamless medium carbon steel, boiler tubes and boiler ducts, including safe ends, arc and suspension tubes, and overheating tubes. the thicknesses usually provided for this specification are 1/2 in. 5 in. [12.7 to 127 mm] outer diameter and 0.035 to 0.500 in. [0.9 to 12.7 mm], inclusive, in a minimum wall thickness. Tubes with different dimensions may be supplied, provided that these tubes meet all other requirements of this specification. Mechanical property requirements do not apply to tubes less than 1/8 in. [3.2 mm] inner diameter or 0.015 in. [0.4 mm] in thickness. The values indicated in inch-pound units or SI units should be considered separately as standard. Within the text, SI units are shown in parentheses. The values set in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system should be used independently of the other. During the manufacturing process, the tubes will be manufactured by a continuous process and terminated hot or dry.

heat treatment
Hot-finished tubes do not need heat treatment. Cold-finished tubes will receive a subchrtic annealing, complete annealing or normalizing heat treatment after the final cold finishing process.
Training operations
When inserted into the boiler, the tubes must be expanding and flanged without showing cracks or faults. When handled correctly, the overheating tubes must withstand all forging, welding and bending operations necessary for application without developing defects.
