Description
ASTM A53 steel pipe is available in the size range of 1/4 to 30 inches and the schedules of 10 to 160. It can be divided into many categories. Depending on whether or not there is coating, it can be divided into black and hot galvanized steel pipe. According to different production processes, it can be divided into seamless pipe and welded pipe. ASTM A53 steel pipe can be welded, flanged and shaped as required, it is available in three main types (GG quot; F" i.e., continuous weld / longitudinal furnace butt welded not flange-friendly, hot rolled seamless and cold finished&"S GG" and&"E GG" ERW).

ASTM A53 Steel Pipe Tolerances
Allowable variations in wall thickness:
The minimum wall thickness at any point should not be more than 12.5% below the specified nominal thickness.
Variations allowed in pesos per foot:
The weight of any length will not vary more than 10% above and 3.5% below what is specified.
NPS 4 and smaller heavy in batches. Larger sizes will be weighed separately by length
Comparison
ASTM A53 steel pipe shows long lasting durability, improved corrosion resistance compared to standard black steel, and is available at a relatively cheap price and good strength compared to alternative metals. As a general rule of thumb, the galvanized price is 40-50% higher than the price of carbon black pipes. On the other hand, galvanized pipes are heavy, difficult to repair, and tend to develop blockages over time.
