The ASTM A106 Grade B/C Specification covers seamless carbon steel pipe for high temperature service (Note 1) in NPS 1-8 to NPS 48 inclusive, with nominal wall thickness (average) as indicated in ANSI B36.10. A106 Pipes with other dimensions may be provided as long as such pipe meets all other requirements of this specification. ASTM A106 Grade B carbon steel seamless pipes must be suitable for similar bending, flange and forming operations, and for welds. When welding the steel, it is assumed that a welding procedure suitable for the steel grade and the intended use or service will be used.
