ASTM A106 Grade B Seamless Pressure Tube (ASME SA106) is used in power plants, boilers, petrochemical plants, oil and gas refineries and ships where the pipe must carry fluids and gases that exhibit high pressures and temperatures.

Attention:
For each reduction of 0.01% carbon, an increase of 0.06% manganese above the specified value will be allowed, and up to a maximum of 1.35%.
The combined Cr, Cu, Mo, Ni, V elements shall not exceed 1%.
ASTM A106 Grade B Tube Dimensions
The standard covers tube sizes in NPS (National Standard Straight) from 1/8 to 48 inches (10.3 mm DN6 - 1219 mm DN1200), while meeting the nominal wall thickness of ASME B 36.10M. For other sizes, this standard specification is also allowed.
Grade B seamless tube
The seamless steel tube has three grades, i.e. ASTM A106 Gr.A. Grade. B and C, with the highest grade material, the resistance performance is better.
Testing methods
The testing methods for ASTM A106 A, B, C are flattening, hydrostatic testing, non-destructive electrical testing, ultrasonic testing, parasit current test, flow leak test, these test procedures will be reported or discussed with the customer to confirm what type of test will be applied.
