Introduction
Galvanized steel (hot galvanized steel alloy) is a new type of coated steel material. It is formed by heating and diffusion treatment in an alloy furnace after the hot galvanized band is removed from the zinc container and before the zinc layer solidifies. After alloying the hot galvanized sheet, the outer layer of pure zinc has been completely transformed into an iron-zinc alloy layer with an iron content of 7-13%, and its surface has lost its inherent zinc.

Advantages of Galvanneal Steel
There are advantages of using galvanized steel on uncoated steel or other coated materials. Galvanneal is primarily designed to be painted. The matte finish of the zinc coating is much more absorbent than standard galvanized steel, allowing the paints to adhere much better to the surface. Galvanized steel also has a zinc coating that is harder than many other types of galvanized steels. This increases its scratch resistance and other types of coating damage that could expose the steel below to the environment. The conformability and weldability of galvanneal coating is typically better than other types of galvanized steel. The use of Galvanneal will also provide much better corrosion resistance than uncoated carbon steels.
