ASTM A242 Type1 steel is widely used in railways, construction, bridges and other fields. Its alloy composition contains a small amount of copper, brocade, Ming and other elements, and a dense protective film will form on the surface during use to prevent further erosion of the substrate by the corrosive medium.
Railway vehicles are constantly subject to atmospheric corrosion and dynamic loading abrasion during use, and ASTM A242 Type 1 steel is required to have high reliability, long service life, and lightweight properties. With the development of railway modernization, the body materials of railway vehicles begin to develop towards high-strength atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel.
The main problem in production is that there are large areas of rust-like red scale and willow incrustations on the surface of ASTM A242 Type1 steel. By adjusting the rolling process parameters, such as oven time, descaling passes, approximate rolling exit temperature, hot coil box mode, etc., the solution to the ASTM steel surface scale is studied A242 Type1.
By increasing the raw rolling exit temperature of ASTM A242 Type1 steel, the red rust-like scale disappears; Controlling the outlet temperature of rough rolling, shortening the oven time, increasing the number of descaling passes and adopting direct rolling mode are beneficial to the improvement of willow-like scale, scale cleavage rate willow-shaped iron oxide decreased from 3.48% to 0.2%.
