ASTM A312 TP347 pipe is an austenitic stainless steel pipe specified in the ASTM A312 standard. The addition of niobium ensures excellent performance even in high-temperature, highly oxidizing conditions up to approximately 800°C. It is suitable for applications in high-temperature, highly corrosive environments, such as the petrochemical, chemical, and aerospace industries. TP347 pipe is available in both seamless and welded constructions and exhibits excellent mechanical properties, including toughness and creep strength, at high temperatures. A312 TP347 seamless stainless steel pipe offers enhanced strength and durability. A312 TP347 electric-fusion welded pipe is available in sizes ranging from 6 inches to 100 inches.

Compared with other materials, the stabilization treatment of niobium in ASTM A312 TP347H stainless steel seamless pipe can prevent chromium carbide precipitation during welding or high temperature (450-850 ° C), protect grain boundaries, and enhance the resistance of pipes to intergranular corrosion; ASTM A312 TP347H stainless steel seamless pipes can maintain oxidation resistance and creep strength at high temperatures (≤ 800 ° C), which is superior to ordinary 304/316 stainless steel; TP347H stainless steel seamless pipes have good corrosion resistance to oxidizing media such as nitric acid and organic acids, but should be used with caution in reducing acids such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.

The applications of ASTM A312 TP347 stainless steel pipes are vast and varied. They are used in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemicals, power generation, food processing, and many others. In chemical processing industries, these pipes find application in the transfer of acids, alkalis, and other corrosive chemicals. In the food processing industry, they are used in the transfer of edible oils, fats, dairy products, and many others.
To ensure the quality of the pipes, ASTM A312 TP347 goes through several tests such as hydrostatic testing, non-destructive testing, eddy current testing, and many others. These tests help to ensure that the pipes are of the desired quality and free from any defects such as cracks or voids.Mail:es@gescosteel.com
