ASTM A269 TP316Ti Stainless Steel Seamless Tube is specifically designed for instrumentation system applications. Our TP316Ti seamless tubing contains 0.40–0.60% Titanium (Ti), which effectively prevents chromium carbide precipitation. Through cold working and solution annealing processes, we strictly control the hardness to ≤HB 190, and provide flaring and flattening test videos. Additionally, we ensure tensile strength ≥ 515 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, and elongation ≥ 35%, ensuring the tubes' durability under high-pressure and thermal cycling conditions.

ASTM A269 TP316Ti seamless tubes have an outer diameter tolerance of ±0.08mm, wall thickness tolerance of ±0.06mm, and straightness of ≤0.3mm/m, providing precise dimensional control. The inner surface finish is polished to Ra ≤ 0.4μm, which minimizes fluid friction, eliminates contamination risks, and maintains the high purity required for process instrumentation systems.

How is 316Ti stainless steel pipe welded?

316Ti stainless steel pipe is best welded using TIG (GTAW) or MIG (GMAW) processes, utilizing titanium-stabilized filler metals (similar to 316L or 316Ti rods) to prevent sensitization at high temperatures.

 

How do you choose between 316L and 316Ti stainless steel pipes?

For general and highly corrosive applications particularly when welding thick-section materials the use of 316L (low-carbon grade) is recommended. For high-temperature applications (where temperatures exceed a specific threshold), 316Ti (titanium-stabilized grade) is advised; if the operating temperature exceeds 450°C, 316L carries a risk of sensitization, whereas TP316Ti, through titanium stabilization, ensures complete immunity to intergranular corrosion.
