What is the difference between 1.4841 and 1.4845?

While both are high-temperature grades, 1.4845 (310S) has a lower carbon content (max 0.08%) compared to 1.4841 (310) (max 0.20%). This lower carbon content in 1.4845 minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, making it better for welded structures.

No. 1.4845 is an Austenitic stainless steel, which means it is non-magnetic in the annealed and cold-worked conditions.
