ASTM A270 standard provides strong technical support and assurance for the production, inspection, and use of seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing for sanitary applications. A270 TP316L stainless steel welded sanitary grade tubing is a type of welded steel tubing manufactured according to specific standards, suitable for sanitary applications in the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries. "Sanitary grade" refers to its compliance with high-purity application standards, smooth surface, easy cleaning, and prevention of contamination.
We offer TP316L sanitary grade stainless steel tubing conforming to the ASTM A270 standard, primarily for use in the baking, beverage, cosmetics, dairy, food, or pharmaceutical industries. Typically, the inner and/or outer diameters are mechanically or electrolytically polished. The polished stainless steel tubing meets or exceeds the 3-A standard, with an inner diameter polishing degree of 20 Ra and an outer diameter polishing degree of 150 mesh or 32 Ra.

Mill test certificates will be issued according to EN10204.3

Testing and Inspection
Each tube shall be subjected to mechanical tests like reverse flattening test, hydrostatic test, or nondestructive electric test, in practice eddy current testing is the most used testing.
All tubing shall be furnished in the heat-treated condition, Hydrogen bright annealed in line to 1900°F(1040° C) minimum and rapidly quenched.
