EN 1.4404 Double Submerged Arc Welded pipes are specifically designed for sewage treatment plants, utilizing ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel (equivalent to grade X2CrNiMo17-12-2/S31603) with a carbon content of ≤0.03%, along with 16.5-18.5% chromium, 10.0-14.0% nickel, and 2.0-2.5% molybdenum, delivering exceptional resistance to chloride corrosion and intergranular corrosion.

The EN 1.4404 pipes we supply comply with EN 10088-3 and other relevant standards, manufactured from 1.4404 stainless steel (equivalent to 316L) using the Double Submerged Arc Welding (DSAW) process. These pipes achieve a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa and elongation of ≥40%, making them suitable for applications where post-weld heat treatment is not required. They effectively resist long-term corrosion from organic acids, inorganic acids, and halogen-containing media, and compared to other materials, their durability ensures extended service life and reduced maintenance costs.
