ASTM A240 Grade 316Ti Stainless Steel Plate

ASTM A240 316Ti stainless steel plate is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel with UNS number S31635, corresponding to the European grade EN 1.4571.

With a chemical composition of 16–18% Cr, 10–14% Ni, and 2–3% Mo, the material is effectively stabilized with titanium to prevent sensitization and intergranular corrosion. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature chloride-containing environments. Its resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion is superior to that of 304 stainless steel, particularly in chloride media.

ASTM A240 Stainless Steel 316Ti Shim Sheet provides a tensile strength of up to 620 MPa and an elongation of up to 54% in the annealed condition, combining high strength, toughness, and good fabrication properties. It is widely used in chemical processing equipment (reactors, heat exchangers), high-temperature industrial systems (heating units), and precision manufacturing applications (instrument housings).
