An austenitic stainless steel with molybdenum added to improve corrosion resistance (better than 304) particularly in chloride environments. This grade is more suitable for welding applications, 316S11es resistant to intergranular and pitting corrosion and does not respond to heat treatment, but can be cold hardened, 316S11 is fully resistant to decay welding, it is acid resistant.
