Ti-17 titanium alloy, also known as Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4Cr-4Mo alloy (UNS R58650), is a high-strength, deep-hardening alloy used for compressor disks and other large components.Ti-17 titanium alloy is a "beta-rich" alpha-beta type titanium alloy. The alloy has high strength, good fracture toughness, high hardenability, and a wide range of forging temperatures. Its maximum working temperature reaches 427°C. Ti-17 titanium alloy can be processed in the β-zone or α+β-zone. Ti-17 alloy has higher tensile and creep strength than Ti-6Al-4V.
