With the growing demand for thinner, stronger, and more stable materials in industries such as electronics, precision manufacturing, heat-resistant components, and advanced industrial processing, SUS304H ultra-thin stainless steel foil is gaining increasing attention in the global market.
What is SUS304H ultra-thin stainless steel foil?
SUS304H is a high-carbon version of SUS304 stainless steel, conforming to JIS standards, and specifically designed for enhanced high-temperature strength. When processed into ultra-thin foil (typically with a thickness ranging from 0.01 mm to 0.1 mm), it exhibits high-temperature stability and excellent oxidation resistance, maintaining good mechanical strength even at reduced thicknesses. SUS304H ultra-thin stainless steel foil refers to stainless steel material that has undergone precision rolling, possessing extremely high thickness tolerance, flatness control, and surface quality.

Why is it more popular than traditional 304 or 304L stainless steel foil?
SUS304H is a high-carbon variant of standard 304 stainless steel, with a carbon content typically between 0.04% and 0.10%. Similar to standard 304 stainless steel, and superior to 304L, SUS304H maintains these properties at high temperatures (operating temperature range up to approximately 800–925°C), while the allowable stress of SUS304, and especially 304L, decreases more rapidly with increasing temperature.
For ultra-thin foil applications requiring resistance to thermal cycling or prolonged high-temperature exposure, such as furnace components, heat exchangers, and boiler linings, the enhanced creep resistance and thermal stability of 304H make it a superior choice compared to regular 304 or low-carbon 304L.

GNEE supplies 304, 304L, and 304H stainless steel foil with an alloy composition of 18% chromium + 8% nickel. It features resistance to acids and alkalis, high-temperature oxidation resistance, rust resistance, and does not release harmful substances during long-term use. Its service life is more than three times that of ordinary metal foil. Lead-free and cadmium-free, food-grade 304 stainless steel foil is widely used in tableware, kitchenware, and medical packaging. The thickness can be customized from 0.03mm to 0.2mm, with a tensile strength of ≥520MPa. It supports precision stamping and bending processes, meeting the precision processing requirements of electronic shielding covers, sensor components, and other applications.
