What is a 310S 2B stainless steel plate?
310S 2B stainless steel plate is a low-carbon, heat-resistant austenitic alloy (containing 25% chromium and 20% nickel) featuring a cold-rolled, annealed (2B) finish that presents a smooth surface with a moderately reflective luster. This material is specifically engineered for high-temperature applications reaching up to 1150°C (2100°F); its low-carbon composition effectively minimizes brittleness, making it an ideal choice for furnace components, heat exchangers, and chemical processing equipment.

310 vs. 310S Stainless Steel Plate
Both 310 stainless steel plate (with a maximum carbon content of 0.25%) and 310S stainless steel (with a maximum carbon content of 0.08%) are high-temperature austenitic alloys. The key difference between the two is that 310S is a low-carbon version of 310, specifically designed to minimize carbide precipitation. Although both materials exhibit exceptional oxidation resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F), 310S stainless steel is typically the preferred material in applications involving high-temperature welding.
