Zeron 100 vs. 2507 Duplex Steel: Corrosion Resistance
Zeron 100 offers superior corrosion resistance in mineral acids and is more effective at repassivating from crevice corrosion compared to 2507 Duplex Steel, thanks to its additions of copper and tungsten. While both are strong super duplex stainless steels, Zeron 100 has a guaranteed minimum PREN value of 40, ensuring higher resistance to localized corrosion like pitting and crevice attack, and shows better performance in certain high-temperature, chloride-containing environments.
Zeron 100 vs. 2507 Duplex Steel: Repassivation
ZERON 100 shows superior repassivation behavior compared to 2507, making it a better choice for applications where temperature excursions might initiate crevice corrosion, such as in seawater.
