ASTM A312 TP310S Stainless Steel Compared to other Materials
Compared to TP304/TP316: While TP310S may not have the optimal room temperature corrosion resistance, its high-temperature performance is far superior. It is not designed for room-temperature corrosive environments.
Compared to TP321H: Both can be used at high temperatures, but TP310S has a higher chromium-nickel content, thus offering superior resistance to oxidation and carburization, and is typically used in furnace areas with higher temperatures and harsher atmospheres.
Core Advantage: The irreplaceable nature of TP310S lies in its extremely high chromium content, making it the preferred economical alloy for operation in oxidizing and carburizing environments above 980°C.
