What is ASTM A269?
Pipes specified in ASTM A269 can be produced seamlessly or welded. Common surface finishes include annealing, pickling, or bright annealing. SS304 and SS316 are the two most commonly used stainless steel grades for stainless steel piping systems. They offer excellent corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, low maintenance, and affordability.
ASTM A269 TP316L stainless steel bright annealed tubing is a high-purity austenitic stainless steel tubing with an ultra-low carbon content (≤0.03%) for enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion. It features a bright annealed surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.4μm) for improved corrosion resistance in the 800-1500°F (427-816°C) range due to chromium carbide precipitation. It offers a tensile strength of 485-690 MPa and a yield strength of ≥170 MPa.
ASTM A269 TP316L stainless steel seamless tubing is designed for critical applications in chemical processing, food equipment, and high-purity fluid systems where excellent corrosion resistance, surface cleanliness, and dimensional stability are critical.

GNEE offers ASTM A269 TP316L stainless steel bright annealed tubes, polished to 320 grit, with a surface roughness of Ra ≈ 0.05-0.1μm, offering excellent cleanliness and an ultra-smooth surface. All products are supplied with material certification (including factory test reports and third-party surface finish verification) and are available in standard outer diameter sizes of 12.7-50.8 mm and wall thicknesses of 0.6-1.65 mm, with tight tolerances (outer diameter ±0.05 mm, wall thickness ±0.03 mm).
Each tube is individually wrapped in anti-rust paper (pH neutral, lignin-free) to prevent surface scratches and oxidation, then bundled with non-reactive polyethylene separator film between layers, and finally encased in a corrugated cardboard box (thickness ≥3mm) or wooden crate (load-bearing capacity ≥500kg) for external protection, equipped with edge guards and stretch film wrapping. All shipments are accompanied by material traceability documents and handling instructions to ensure safe delivery from the GNEE factory to the customer site.
