EN 1.4845 (X8CrNi25-21) is a high-chromium, high-nickel austenitic stainless steel containing approximately 24-26% chromium and 19-22% nickel. It offers excellent oxidation resistance, carburization resistance, and high-temperature strength. In practical applications, 1.4845 heat-resistant stainless steel tubes can operate continuously at temperatures up to 1050-1100°C with excellent oxidation and scaling resistance.
Our 1.4845 stainless steel heat-resistant tubes are manufactured using seamless and welded processes, including electric furnace melting, AOD refining, hot extrusion or cold drawing, solution annealing, and pickling, ensuring a uniform austenitic structure. EN 1.4845 stainless steel round tubes have a tensile strength of ≥520 MPa, elongation of ≥40%, and hardness typically maintained at ≤200 HB, exhibiting good toughness and formability. Heat Resistance of 310S Stainless Steel Tubing
It exhibits good oxidation resistance when used intermittently in air at temperatures up to 1040°C; and also good oxidation resistance when used continuously at temperatures up to 1150°C.
Due to carbide precipitation, continuous use in the temperature range of 425-860°C is not recommended, especially when subsequent resistance to aqueous corrosion is required. It is typically used at temperatures above approximately 800 or 900°C, which is higher than the effective operating temperature range of 304H and 321 stainless steel.
