EN 1.4404 stainless steel seamless tubing (X2CrNiMo17-12-2 / AISI 316L) is a low-carbon molybdenum alloy austenitic stainless steel with a typical composition of 16-18% chromium, 10-13% nickel, and 2-2.5% molybdenum. It exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular corrosion, especially after welding and in chloride-rich environments.
Our 1.4404 stainless steel polished tubing is cold-drawn into a round tube form, solution annealed to relieve processing stress, and then subjected to multiple stages of fine polishing and pickling passivation treatment, ensuring a flawless surface finish without oxidation. The SS 1.4401 pipe has a surface roughness Ra≤0.2μm after polishing, is free of scratches and oxidation, is non-magnetic in the annealed state, and offers excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Cold-drawn dimensions are tightly controlled to ±0.02mm. It is available in straight lengths and cut-to-length forms as required, suitable for structural and sanitary applications.
