It is stainless steel in rural and urban atmosphere, in fresh water and in different corrosion agents it is very resistant. Polishing the surface improves its resistance to corroding. It has enough resistance to sulfur vapor. It has a good resistance to oxidation, up to 750°C. It is ferromagnetic.
