AWWA C200 water pipes is a standard that opens the pipe with longitudinal or spiral seam, over 6 pol. (150 mm) of nominal diameter, used for conduction and distribution of water, or for use in other installations of the water system.

INSPECTION
All work performed and material supplied under this standard may be inspected by the buyer, but such inspection does not exempt the manufacturer from the responsibility of supplying material and performing work in accordance with this standard.
QUALITY GUARANTEE
The manufacturer of two AWWA C200 water pipes maintains a quality guarantee program, guaranteeing as well as compliance with the minimum standards. It must include a certified welding inspector (AWS QC1) to verify that the welders and the welding procedures for both pipes are qualified and the procedures are being followed with the limitation of two tests and the quality assurance functions are being performed.
DEFECTS
O Finished AWWA C200 water pipe must be free of inoil defects. Defects in the seamless tube or non-metal original welded tube will be considered unacceptable when the depth of the defect is greater than 12.5 percent of the nominal wall thickness.
The repair of defects will not be allowed if the depth of the defect exceeds 1/3 of the nominal thickness of the pipe wall and is the compression of part of the defect in which the depth exceeds 12.5 percent for greater than 25 percent of the external diameter of the pipe. Each repaired pipe compression must be hydrostatically tested in accordance with standard requirements.

MARCAÇÃO
A serial number or other identification of the AWWA C200 Water Pipes must be painted in a visible location on each tubing section and each special section.
SUBJECTS
ASTM
If the tube is manufactured in such a way as to satisfy the requirements of one or more of the ASTM specifications, the classes of tubes must be:
Type E or S for ASTM A-53
A-36, A-283, A-570, A-572 for ASTM A-134
All grades for ASTM A-135
All grades for ASTM A-139
MANUFACTURED PIPE
When the tube must be manufactured to meet standard requirements; The sheets or coils must be selected according to the following physical properties and specifications.
SHEETS
ASTM A-36 / 36M, ASTM A-283 / A-283M - Grau C e D
ASTM A-572 / A-572M - Grau 42.50 e 60
ROLLS AND SHEETS
ASTM A-570 / 570M - Grau 30 to 50.
For sheets, the maximum allowable thickness variation should be 0,010 inches below the ordered thickness.
For the pages, the maximum allowable thickness variations must be in accordance with the ASTM A-568 specifications.
MANUFACTURING OF TUBES
GENERIC REQUIREMENTS
The tube produced in a number of tubes must be subjected to the AWWA C-200 quality control procedures. This tubing must be manufactured to meet the standard requirements of ASTM A-53, A-134, A-135 and A-139.
MANUFACTURING OF TUBES
The weld must be reasonably uniform in length and height for the entire compression of the tube.
By agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer, welding can be done by automatic or manual means.
All spiral, longitudinal and circumferential seams used in the manufacture of the tube must be butt joints welded with total penetration.
The maximum tolerance of radial dislocation in the plates is:
For a thickness of 3/8 inches or less=0.1875 times a thickness or 1/16 inches (whichever is greater).
For a thickness of 3/8 inches and above=0.1875 times a thickness or 1/8 inches (or whatever is less).
WELDING
The procedures, the welding operators, like all operators, must be qualified in accordance with Sec. IX, part A, of the Code of the Boiler and the ASME Press Reservoir, or in accordance with AWS B2. 1, or under any other code mutually agreed upon between the purchaser and the manufacturer.
PRODUCTION WELDING TESTS
The welding tests for the production of two AWWA C200 water pipes consist of: two bending tests (inside and outside bends), two reduced section stress tests and one macroetc test.
Often two production welding tests: There must be at least one set of welding test samples of each size, grade and wall thickness of the work performed by each production machine and each operator at a minimum of every 3000 feet of pipe .
HYDROSTATIC TEST
PRESSÃO DE TESTE
Each tube compression must be tested by the manufacturer at a hydrostatic pressure not lower than a certain one by the following formula: P= 2St / D
Where:
P=minimum hydrostatic test pressure (psi).
Note: By agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer, when the diameter and thickness of the tube wall is such that the capacity of the testing equipment is exceeded by these requirements, the test pressures may be reduced or other non-destructive testing methods may be used. used.
S {{0}} stress in the tube wall during the hydrostatic test, which must be 0.75 times the specified minimum yield strength of the used tool or as specified by the purchaser.
T= wall thickness (inches)
D=outside diameter (inches).
The test press must be held for a sufficient time to observe the weld seams. There will be no vacancies.
PERMISSIBLE VARIATIONS IN WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS
THICKNESS AND WEIGHT
Unless specified by the purchaser, wall thickness and weight tolerances for welded tubes must be governed by the requirements of the specifications for which the plates or plates are entrusted.
CIRCUMFERENCE
Or tube must be substantially round. The external circumference of the tube must not vary more than plus /- 1 percent, but must not exceed ¾ from the nominal external circumference based on the nominal diameter.
RETIDÃO
The finished tube should not deviate more than 1/8 inch from a distance of 10 feet. Longa regra performed against tubulação.
LENGTHS
The tube compressions specified on order must be supplied with a tolerance of plus /- 2''.
PREPARATION OF EXTREMITIES
If the tubing is specified to have the ends chamfered for field top welding, the ends must be beveled to an angle of 30 0 with a tolerance of plus 5 0, -0 0 with a root face length of 1/16'' plus / - 1/32''.
LIMBS EQUIPPED WITH FLANGES
The ends to be assembled with flanges must be ground (longitudinal welds and spirals), on the ground for a sufficient distance to allow the proper installation of the flange.
OVALIDADE (Out-Of-Roundness)
The roundness of the ends of the two tubes must be consistent in diameter and wall thickness. Any out-of-roundness should be limited to a smooth oval that can be jacked back into a circular shape.
DIAMETER
The tolerance of the diameter of the ends is - 1/16'' more than 1/8'' of the specified diameter.
1/16'' is equal to -0.196'' in the circumference and plus 1/8'' is equal to plus 0.393'' in the circumference.
FIM SQUAD
For AWWA C200 Water Pipe to be butt welded in the field, the ends of the pipe sections must not vary by more than 1/8 inch, at any point from a true plane perpendicular to the axis of the pipe and passing through the center of the pipe. in extremity
TUBE ENDS
By agreement between the manufacturer and the purchaser, the ends of the tube can be supplied with configurations of joints and tolerances different from those described here. In these cases, the ends of the two tubes must be in accordance with the description of the two detailed drawings provided to the buyer.
This standard spans or tube with longitudinal or spiral seam, over 6 pol. (150 mm) of nominal diameter, used for conduction and distribution of water, or for use in other installations of the water system.
