Titanium Grade 9 is sometimes referred to as 'half 6-4'. This alloy of titanium with 3% aluminium and 2.5% vanadium offers 20 to 50% greater mechanical strength than the commercially pure (CP) titanium grades, but is more formable and weldable than Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
INCREASED PALLADIUM
Titanium Grade 18 (UNS R56322) is identical to Grade 9 in all respects with the exception of the additional 0.04 – 0.08% palladium to increase corrosion resistance. Titanium Grades 9 and 18 have a density of 4.48 g/cc - less than 60% that of steel.
CORROSION RESISTANCE
This material offers good corrosion resistance in oxidising, neutral and mildly reducing media, including chlorides. Titanium Grade 18 with the addition of palladium offers greater resistance to corrosion. The alloy resists oxidation up to 600°F (316°C).

Vanadium is an important alloying element for titanium grades 5 and 9. When alloyed with titanium, the resulting titanium alloys are significantly stronger than commercially pure titanium while maintaining comparable stiffness and thermal properties. As mentioned earlier, Grade 5 has properties similar to human bone, which makes it a popular choice for orthopedic medical devices. Other more common applications include tension setting rings, bicycle parts, and nuts and bolts used in harsh conditions.
Grade 5 titanium alloys are twice as strong as Grade 9 titanium alloys, but their low formability makes them twice as difficult to machine. While both alloys are excellent, Grade 5 titanium is not always the best titanium choice for cost-effective precision production applications in the aerospace, automotive, medical, oil, gas and power generation industries.

FAQ
Q:What are the shipping ports?
A:You can choose other ports according to your needs.
Q:About product prices?
A:Prices vary from period to period due to cyclical changes in the price of raw materials.
Q:Can I go to your company to visit?
A:Of course, we welcome customers from all over the world to visit our company.
Q:How to pack the products?
A:The inner layer has a waterproof paper outer layer with iron packaging and is fixed with a fumigation wooden pallet. It can effectively protect products from corrosion during ocean transportation.
Q: What trade terms do you usually use?
A: We use FOB, CIF, EXW,FCA,FAS,CFR.
