What is ASTM A276?
ASTM A276 is an ASTM International standard that specifies requirements for hot-finished and cold-finished stainless steel bars and shapes, excluding bars intended for reforging. The standard covers common types of stainless steel, such as grades 304 and 316, and defines different conditions (e.g., annealed, hardened, and tempered), as well as required mechanical properties and chemical compositions.
ASTM A276 Type 254SMO is a material grade specification for 254SMO stainless steel cold-worked or hot-worked bar stock. Available in round, square, hexagonal, and other hot-rolled and extruded shapes.
