1.4462 steel is magnetic?
Duplex steel 2205 is used in the construction industry, food industry, chemical industry, machinery applications, marine industry, electronic equipment, and the oil industry.
What is the difference between 1.4462 and 316L?
1.4462 material shows both ferretic and austenitic stainless steel class properties. 1.4462 material has a better corrosion resistance then 316L and 316Ti. Also the mechanical properties are %50 higher then most of the austenitic grades(like 304).
1.4410 VS. 1.4462 What's The Difference?
The main difference is that 1.4410 is a super duplex stainless steel, while 1.4462 is a standard duplex stainless steel. This means 1.4410 has higher levels of alloying elements like chromium, molybdenum, and nickel, resulting in significantly better corrosion resistance and higher strength. Consequently, 1.4410 is used in more demanding applications where extreme strength and resistance to chloride environments are required.
GNEE stocks S32205 (2205) duplex stainless steel in sizes including round bars from 5/8 inch to 20 inches (15.87 mm to 508 mm) in diameter, plates up to 3 inches (76.2 mm) thick, and various sizes of pipe, flanges, and fittings. We also stock this grade with special dimensional tolerances and surface finishes. We also offer H9-grade ground finish 1.4462 material up to 8.5 meters in length; these special materials are dedicated to prefabricated shafts.
