ASTM A928 UNS S32750 EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) pipe is a super duplex stainless steel welded pipe specifically designed for extreme corrosive environments. It features a duplex microstructure with approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum, and 0.3% nitrogen, combining high strength with excellent corrosion resistance. The material offers a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa, a minimum tensile strength of 795 MPa, and a hardness limit of 310 HBW or 32 HRC. It is widely used in seawater, desalination, and chemical processing environments.
Our 2507 stainless steel EFW pipes are manufactured using double-sided welding with filler metal. The use of filler metal helps better control the ferrite/austenite phase balance in the weld seam. Solution annealing is typically required; however, under certain conditions (such as when using pre-annealed base material), heat treatment may be exempted, provided that additional corrosion testing is performed.
