ASTM A312 specification covers austenitic alloy 316ti stainless steel pipe in both seamless and welded constructions. Applications for these pipes include high-temperature and general corrosion-resistant applications. The corrosion resistance of Grade 316 and 316ti stainless steel seamless pipe is similar. Due to the addition of titanium to the alloy, 316ti offers improved weldability and excellent performance at high temperatures.
ASTM A312 TP316ti pipe undergoes mechanical testing, including transverse tensile testing, longitudinal tensile testing, and flattening testing. Manufacturers also conduct weld corrosion testing and grain size determination on ASME SA 312 TP316ti pipe. Furthermore, SS 316ti ERW pipe requires separate testing, such as nondestructive electrical testing or hydrostatic testing.

Packaging and Marking:
Packaging is in bales or laminated wooden crates, plastic-wrapped, and appropriately protected for seaworthy transport, or as required. Marking shall comply with Specification A1016/A1016M and shall include whether the pipe is hot-finished or cold-finished, including but not limited to: standard, grade, size, heat number, and batch number.
