304 stainless steel pipe is a type of steel tubing made from a chromium-nickel alloy, austenitic stainless steel, widely used in stainless steel applications.
304 is the most commonly used stainless steel worldwide. Pipes come in different types and manufacturing methods, and GNEE supplies all types, produced in seamless, welded, and ERW configurations. ASME SA 312 TP 304 seamless pipe is produced using an extrusion process, making it slightly more expensive than welded pipe. ASTM A312 TP 304 welded pipe is not used for pressure vessel grades. In these modules, the sheet or strip is rolled and welded using a series of shop welding procedures.
304 stainless steel pipe has a minimum tensile strength of 75 ksi and a minimum yield strength of 30 ksi. ASTM A312 TP 304 pipe can be processed using hot or cold rolling processes. These pipes are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.8 mm to 12 mm and in various sizes and specifications to meet project needs.
