ASTM A268 ASME SA 268 TP410 S41000 is a martensitic stainless steel with high mechanical properties and is ferromagnetic in the annealed or hardened condition.
410 stainless steel seamless pipe is a basic, general-purpose, hardenable martensitic stainless steel. It is used to manufacture highly stressed components and offers good corrosion resistance and strength. Maximum strength and/or wear and corrosion resistance is achieved by oil quenching this alloy at temperatures between 1800°F and 1950°F (982-1066°C).
A major advantage of 410 stainless steel round pipe is its high hardness; it is more wear-resistant than most 300 series stainless steels. Grade 410 stainless steel pipe is typically supplied in the hardened condition, but remains machinable, making it suitable for applications requiring high strength and moderate heat and corrosion resistance.
