GNEE stands out as a trusted global supplier specializing in high-quality ASTM A268 TP410 seamless tubes for heat exchangers. With over 18 years of extensive experience and a proven track record of supplying critical components to industries including chemical processing, power generation, and oil & gas, we have become the preferred partner for customers with extremely demanding requirements for heat exchanger applications. Our products are exported to more than 50 countries worldwide and have earned numerous international certifications such as ISO 9001, PED, and NACE MR0175.
Our ASTM A268 TP410 seamless tubes are specifically engineered to withstand the harsh operating conditions encountered during heat exchanger service. Each batch of TP410 tubing undergoes solution annealing at a high temperature of 1050–1100°C followed by rapid cooling. This process ensures the formation of a uniform grain structure and complete dissolution of carbides, thereby minimizing the risk of intergranular corrosion.
Through precise quenching and tempering processes, we strictly control the hardness at ≤HB 217, which is well below the HB 241 upper limit specified in the ASTM A268 standard, effectively preventing cracking of the tubes under pressure and thermal stress.
The ASTM A268 TP410 stainless steel heat exchanger tubes feature an outer diameter tolerance of ±0.1mm, wall thickness tolerance of ±0.08mm, and straightness of ≤0.5mm/m, ensuring perfect fit between the tubes and tubesheets. Their inner surface roughness is controlled at Ra ≤ 0.4μm, which minimizes fouling and significantly improves heat exchange efficiency, making them particularly suitable for high-temperature operating conditions up to 600°C.

How does TP410 perform in terms of weldability during heat exchanger manufacturing?
TP410 exhibits a tendency to harden. To prevent welding cracks, preheating to 200–300°C is recommended.
Post-weld tempering at 650–750°C is typically required to restore toughness in the weld zone. Matching 410 filler metals or 309L austenitic filler metals are commonly used (depending on the operating medium).
How does TP410 perform in corrosive environments?
TP410 demonstrates good corrosion resistance in weak acids, alkalis, fresh water, and atmospheric conditions. It is not suitable for environments with high chloride concentrations. If the operating medium contains high salinity or strong acids, we recommend that clients evaluate whether an upgrade to super-ferritic stainless steel or duplex stainless steel is necessary.
Quality Control & Certifications
Every ASTM A268 TP410 stainless steel pipe undergoes rigorous inspections:
Chemical Analysis: Spectrometry to verify composition.
Mechanical Testing: Tensile, hardness, and impact tests (Charpy V-notch at -29°C).
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Eddy current, ultrasonic, and hydrostatic testing.
Certifications: ISO 9001, ASME Section VIII, PED 2014/68/EU, and NACE MR0175 for sour service.

Packaging
Hexagonal Bundling: For small to medium-diameter seamless pipes, hexagonal bundling offers the greatest stability and prevents the bundle from falling apart.
Steel Strap Reinforcement: A minimum of 3 to 5 steel straps are applied for bundling; cardboard or rubber pads must be placed beneath the straps to prevent them from directly damaging the pipe surfaces.
Woven Bag Wrapping: The entire bundle is tightly wrapped in waterproof woven fabric (typically white or green) to provide protection against rain and surface scratches.
