SA 240 UNS S32750 super duplex stainless steel sheets are available in both cold-rolled and hot-rolled delivery conditions. Although ASTM A240 Grade S32750 hot-rolled plates cannot be significantly hardened through heat treatment, their surface strength can be improved through cold working processes.
UNS S32750 stainless steel plates manufactured through the hot rolling process offer excellent flatness and uniform microstructure, making them suitable for heavy structural applications. The common thickness range is 0.5–120 mm, with widths up to 2440 mm. The standard surface finish is usually No.1, making these plates ideal for industrial equipment requiring high strength and superior corrosion resistance, such as seawater desalination systems and petrochemical vessels.
UNS S32750 plates in the solution-annealed condition provide a yield strength of ≥550 MPa and a tensile strength of 850–950 MPa, which is more than 2.5 times higher than that of 316L stainless steel. At the same time, they maintain excellent ductility and impact toughness, with impact energy values still reaching 60–100 J at -46°C.

Temperature Limits for 2507 Stainless Steel Hot-Rolled Plate
This material is not recommended for prolonged use in environments exceeding 300°C, to prevent the precipitation of the sigma phase, which leads to a reduction in toughness. When welding, a low heat input process must be employed, utilizing matching filler materials such as ER2594, and the interpass temperature must be controlled to remain below 150°C.
