In heat exchanger projects, TP316 stainless steel tubes may still exhibit insufficient corrosion resistance, assembly difficulties, and even early leakage during service. The root causes often lie in inadequate control of critical alloying elements, poor dimensional accuracy, and unstable processing performance-all of which directly affect the long-term reliability of the equipment.
GNEE supplies high-quality ASTM A213 TP316 stainless steel tubes for heat exchangers, specifically designed for highly corrosive and demanding service conditions. In terms of molybdenum (Mo) content control, we utilize spectrometric analysis to ensure the Mo content is consistently maintained within the range of 2.0–3.0%, eliminating the risk of "low-Mo substitution" and significantly enhancing resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Through optimized cold working and solution annealing processes, the hardness is typically controlled at ≤ HRB 90, ensuring excellent ductility during tube expansion into tube sheets, while preventing microcracking or excessive springback that could compromise sealing integrity.

For dimensional tolerances, we strictly comply with ASTM A1016 standards while applying even tighter internal controls. The outer diameter tolerance is maintained within ±0.3%, and wall thickness tolerance within ±10%, ensuring excellent fit-up during tube sheet assembly and minimizing the risk of poor expansion or leakage caused by dimensional deviations. In addition, ASTM A213 TP316 heat exchanger tubes undergo thorough finishing and cleaning processes on both inner and outer surfaces. The result is a high سطح finish, with internal surface roughness (Ra) typically controlled at ≤ 0.8 μm. This effectively reduces fluid resistance and lowers scaling tendency by approximately 15%–20%, thereby improving heat transfer efficiency and extending service life.

For Chemical Enterprises (Addressing Corrosion and Service Life Issues)
Client Background: A large-scale fine chemical plant in the Middle East, utilizing a circulating cooling water system.
Client Pain Point: The previously used TP304 tubing suffered from pitting corrosion and perforation after just one year of operation due to excessive chloride ion levels in the water.
GNEE supplied high-quality ASTM A213 TP316 tubing, featuring strict control of molybdenum content at a minimum of 2.1%. The equipment has now operated stably for three years without any leaks; subsequently, the client proceeded to replace all heat exchanger tubes with our products.
