ASTM B675 UNS N08367 is a specification for high-performance super austenitic stainless steel welded tubing, commonly known as AL-6XN alloy.
The AL6XN stainless steel tubing we supply is a 6% molybdenum-containing alloy developed for and used in highly corrosive environments. It contains high levels of nickel (24%), molybdenum (6.3%), nitrogen, and chromium, giving it excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, chloride pitting corrosion, and superior overall corrosion resistance. Please note that the B675 specification specifically covers welded tubing; seamless tubing falls under different ASTM specifications, such as B677 for bar stock, B676 for welded pipe, or other relevant standards.

What is the difference between AL-6XN and 254 smo?
AL-6XN possesses approximately 5-10% greater strength than 254 SMO and is also ASME approved up to 800°F, whereas 254 SMO is approved up to 700°F. AL-6XN has been assigned to P Number 45 in Section IX of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel code, Group 4 and uses 625 weld filler as well.
