ASTM A312 TP317L welded pipe is primarily composed of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and titanium. Chromium content ranges from 18-20%, nickel from 11-15%, molybdenum from 3-4%, and titanium from 0.10-0.25%. It also contains small amounts of niobium and vanadium. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against sulfuric acid, acidic solutions, and chloride media. It is widely used in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries.
ASTM A312 TP317L stainless steel pipe has excellent weldability and can be joined using conventional welding methods. Common welding methods include TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG (Massive Inert Gas Welding), etc.
