Class 304 is the most widely used stainless steel. Chemical composition, mechanical properties, weldability, formability and corrosion/oxidation resistance provide the best integral properties at a relatively low cost. The Grade 304 Balance Austenite allows deep drawing without intermediate annealing, which makes this grade dominant in the manufacture of deep drawing stainless steel parts. Although 304 stainless steel sheets have many different surface treatments, those sold on our website have "2B Mill surface treatments". Although it may not be listed here, we can give you any necessary finish.
