It is ideal for the chemical industry, particularly in phosphoric acid production, where it exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance.
904L stainless steel cold-rolled plates also offer enhanced resistance to stress corrosion cracking and can be welded using standard techniques. Although cold rolling may reduce its formability, it operates reliably in various environments within a working temperature range of 1562 to 2102°F (850 to 1150°C), making it suitable for marine, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
