The 440C stainless steel plates supplied by GNEE are high-carbon, high-chromium (1.0-1.2% carbon, 16-18% chromium). They are vacuum heat-treated and cryogenically processed to achieve a hardness of HRC 56-60, far exceeding the typical hardness of martensitic stainless steels (HRC 45-50). The wear rate is ≤ 0.05g/h according to ASTM G99 standards, and the deformation after heat treatment is ≤ 0.03mm/m.
The UNS S44004 steel plates have a bulk modulus of 166 Pa, a shear modulus of 83.9 GPa, and an elastic modulus of 200 GPa. The Rockwell hardness is 97 B, with a Poisson's ratio between 0.27 and 0.30.
GNEE's 440C stainless steel plates are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 50mm (tolerance ±0.03mm) and can be customized with a maximum width of 2000mm and length of 6000mm. The surface roughness is Ra ≤ 0.8μm (mirror finish options with Ra ≤ 0.1μm). The 440C stainless steel plates can be hardened by heating to 1010°C and air or oil cooling at 760°C. These plates meet the rigorous requirements for materials used in high-end tools, precision bearings, valve components, and other demanding applications that require exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and reliability.
